February 13 and 14, 2016
The Elisabet Ney Museum’s landscape, both north and south of the bisecting Waller Creek, becomes a medium along with enormous photographs printed on cloth, found objects, and thread in this site-specific participatory installation created by Nancy Mims. A tree-bound loom will be the epicenter, on which a print piece will come together with the help of strings, air, and hands. Visitor activities will be featured; there will be an artist’s talk at 2PM both days. Reception to be held from 4 to 6 Saturday evening.
